CONNECTION, REMEMBRANCE, AND BEING SEEN

Your Calm Heart

This page is the part of the Calm-hearted platform to visit when you feel ready for something beyond the immediate shock of your loss.

Here, you will find ways to remember your baby, connect through shared experiences, receive support, and make remembrance more visible.

A NOTE FROM NATHAN'S MOM

Where my heart meets yours

I am so deeply sorry for the loss that brought you to this space. I began using the word calm-hearted to describe my better days, when the pain of my son's death was still present but not as heart-rending. It gave me language for the moments when I could hold both the heartbreak of losing him and the love I continue to carry for him. Calm-hearted grew from that experience and from my need for a personal, gentle place that honours the reality of grief.

I am here as you begin to understand what your own calm heart might feel like. This page offers different ways to receive support, find connection, and remember your baby. You can tell me about them, read stories that feel familiar, share your own experience, strengthen the support around you, or create a visual signal of remembrance.

Please know that I am reaching you with condolences, compassion, and care. I can smile on lighter days, but it does not mean that grief is behind me. Love, remembrance, and moments of calm still belong in my story. I am living this grief too, and you do not need to explain it perfectly or know exactly what you need before reaching out.

If the words calm-hearted or calm-hearted parent feel right to you, they are yours to use. They are not a stage to reach or a label you have to claim, but an invitation to find moments of steadiness, connection, and love alongside your grief.

AN OFFER FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION

A visual for remembrance

The Calm-hearted visual can be used as it is or personalized to hold details that are meaningful to you and your baby. Each version is created as a quiet acknowledgement of their life, your love, and the place they continue to hold in your story.

These examples show how a visual might appear in professional, social, or private spaces. You may choose to use it in a LinkedIn banner, an email signature, a remembrance image, or somewhere only you and the people closest to you will see.

Request or learn more about the Calm-hearted visual. Whether you use the existing visual or a personalized version, we'll work together to link to a page that explains its meaning and help people understand what it means to be calm-hearted.

Only if you'd like

A Calm-hearted visual signal is not something you have to wear, share, or explain. You can use it publicly, keep it private, or decide it is not for you. It's an offer; one optional way to honour your baby, make their life visible, and carry their memory with you.
